Trauma and PTSD
Our mental well-being is just as important if not more so than our physical health. Often times, we neglect talking about things that we are dealing with and don’t realize how it impacts our lives. Have you ever wanted to talk to someone but didn’t feel comfortable going into an office to do so? Maybe you thought it would be nice to have a casual conversation in a different setting talking about the everyday issues you are encountering.
I have been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years. I have worked in a variety of settings working with school-aged children and adults. My approach is client centered, collaborative, and empathic, as I believe in empowering and providing the individual a safe space to share and grow in their own way and at their own pace. I utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, mindfulness and expressive arts such as music, art, and dance. I believe that people heal best when they express themselves in an artistic way. I also have a strong connection with my higher power and believe in the healing power of spirituality.
