Sometimes life becomes overwhelming and our feelings are all over the place. If you would like to talk to someone to discuss what's been going on for you regarding family, personal relationships, or just life, you could have the opportunity to do this in a casual setting and in a casual way. I have been working in the mental health field with children, families, and adults for 21 years.
I've worked with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and problems with addiction. I like to work collaboratively with my clients in helping them identify and practice new ways to cope, communicate feelings and needs, and build a healthy way of living. My approach is client centered, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.
I am transparent in my communication and encourage open dialogue while building a positive rapport and being strength based. I also practice trauma focused therapy such as TF-CBT and I am currently getting certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy with a specialization in addiction. I am spiritual and have a deep faith in my higher power. I believe we are all a work in progress, learning and growing at various points on the spectrum. I enjoy educating, encouraging, and empowering my clients in working towards a life that makes them happy.
